NHL Player Cards offer a unique combination of traditional statistics and analytics wrapped in a retro NHL Pro Set card design. With cards available for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons, you can easily view the career trajectory of players, compare stats across different seasons, and stay atop the latest analytical trends in the NHL.

DESIGN
NHL Player Cards use the 1990-91 Pro Set hockey card design to create a visually appealing and readable graphic. Each card includes a player bio section, traditional statistics, Game Score, and 5v5 analytics for the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons with league percentile ranking based on position.

SAMPLE
To qualify for a player card, a skater or goalie must appear in a minimum of 20 regular season games. Analytics for forwards and defensemen use 5v5 situations while goalies use all situations with percentile rankings based on position. PLAYER CARD ANALYTICS GLOSSARY
Game Score: A formula that uses the following statistics and analytics to quantify a player's value: (0.75 * G) + (0.7 * A1) + (0.55 * A2) + (0.075 * SOG) + (0.05 * BLK) + (0.15 * PD) – (0.15 * PT) + (0.01 * FOW) – (0.01 * FOL) + (0.05 * CF) – (0.05 * CA) + (0.15 * GF) – (0.15* GA)

Average Game Score (AGS): Total accumulated Game Score divided by games played.

G/60: Amount of goals a player scores at 5v5 in 60 minute increments.
​
A/60: Amount of assists a player scores at 5v5 in 60 minute increments.
​
SH%: Percentage of shots a player scores from. Divide total goals a player has by the amount of shots taken.
​
CF%: Any shot attempt made by a player. CF shot attempts divided by total of CF and CA shot attempts.
​
SCF%: Percentage of total scoring chances for a player. SCF divided by total of SCF and SCA.
​
xGF%:A statistic that weighs a shot attempt or scoring chance with the likelihood of a goal being scored based on historical shot location data. The total of xGF divided by the total of xGF and xGA.

GSAA/60: Goals Saved Above Average is calculated by the league's average save percentage with the number of shots faced. This number is how many goals a league-average goalie would allow and is subtracted from the goalie that you are evaluating against, resulting in a positive or negative number.

SV%: Percentage of shots saved by a goaltender. Divide saves by shots faced.
​
HDSV%: Percentage of saves made against a shot attempt that is highly likely to result in a goal.
​
MDSV%: Percentage of saves made against a shot attempt that is somewhat likely to result in a goal.
​
LDSV%: Percentage of saves made against a shot attempt that is relatively unlikely to result in a goal.
